In honor of Groundhog Day, here are a few photos of our pet groundhog, Clara -- who is intelligent, affectionate and greatly beloved. She even has her own column (called Clara's Corner) in The Rodent Reader Quarterly magazine! The photos here show her in her straw hat at about 8 weeks old (last spring) and enjoying treats in our kitchen a few weeks later. More recently, she's seen sleeping in my arms (she LOVES to snuggle!) and showing off a new knit hat (perfect for Valentine's Day).
